CIAO!
Stories and pictures have been my passion since I can remember.
After studying European literature, traveling across the ocean, looking at the world through children’s eyes (in a Pacific Northwest elementary school)…
I now weave colors and hues, to bring stories and different perspectives into life.
Love of nature has inspired my first watercolors: those travel sketches then took off as personalized postcards.
In later work, I have captured the everyday wonders of children’s activities (soccer games, hikes, puzzle making) letting dynamic strokes and bright colors express the feelings of the moment.
I would like my art to give visibility to people (both children and adults) that are hidden, marginalized and unseen. For this reason I love working on illustrations that explore themes of connection and friendship, as in recent commissions by magazines and NGOs.
Watercolor and ink fill me with joy, but I am always up for experimenting and exploring new media.
